Child, Abuse, Neglect, and Endangerment Program (CANE)

This program is a year-long program designed to prevent and improve awareness of child abuse, neglect, and endangerment as well as help ameliorate the problems resulting from CANE. This is an individualized program that involves among other things: individual assessment and treatment planning; group, individual and family therapies; parenting education classes as well as referrals to appropriate agencies for additional services.

The CANE Program’s mission is to to heal the problems that have developed in families and/or individuals as a result of child abuse, neglect, and endangerment; to educate parents and families on this problem and to help them find solutions in order to prevent these behaviors in the future.

This program is certified through Siskiyou County to meet the requirement set forth by the state of CA for those individuals convicted and/or charged with Child Abuse, Neglect & Endangerment.
